Five homemade elements that you can use to work your muscles

To get in shape without leaving home you do not need to invest in machines or other objects and more in COVID19 times.

If you want to work out  your muscles without spending money ordering instruments online, or investing in expensive machines, weights or other objects, we can carry out a complete training with everyday elements that we have in our house to be fit, mentally healthy and healthy. House chores such as cleaning, vacuuming, moving chairs or furniture allow us to exercise without having to step on the street. Of course, it is necessary to establish a routine to achieve the results we want.

We introduce you to five homemade items that everyone has at home, and that you can use to stay in shape during social isolation. Without excuses!

1. Plastic bottles filled with sand water

They are the perfect substitute for weights. To strengthen the muscles, we must start with series of eight to 20 repetitions. You can also use buckets of water, heavy books, or packages of pasta or legumes.

2. Ladder or stools

We can use them as an improvised step, going up and down. They are also good allies for doing push-ups.

3. Chairs

They also serve us for declined push-ups or to do certain jumping exercises. Using the backrest, we rest our hands on it and raise the leg. We perform three sets of 50 lifts with each leg.

4. Broom

It can be used as a bar. We place the broomstick behind the nape and hold it with our hands. We turn left / right and return to the center.

5. Towels or rugs

The rugs can be used to perform floor exercises, while towels are a very useful object to accompany certain exercises and tone various parts of the body.

It’s not just about motivation …

Some people believe that they lack motivation to be physically active. But if you already think that you should be more active in improving your health, you are on the right track. What you do (or don’t do) next is what will make the difference.

It’s about preparation

Active people may seem to have a lot of will power. But what they probably have is a plan. They prepare their clothes and sports shoes the night before. As soon as they get home, they take the dog for a walk. When you plan, physical activity can be at any time.

  • Doing something is much better than doing nothing.
  • The important thing is to start.
  • Start small.
  • All people are different so find what works for you.
  • Consistency is key.

There are many routines from different recognized trainers on YouTube and on other social networks that you can follow to give your body some important movement. You will have to do at least 150 minutes of exercise in the week that is summarized which is 30 minutes per day. Remember that your body is your temple and nobody better than you to take care of it
